TREATMENTS for ROCACEA
The cause of Rosacea is unknown, but most experts believe that it is a disorder where blood vessels become damaged when repeatedly enlarged by stimuli. The damage causes the vessels to dilate and stay dilated for long time or permanently resulting in flushing and redness.
Emotional factors (stress, fear, anxiety, embarrassment, etc.), sun exposure, temperature extremes, strenuous exercise, severe sunburn, moving to a warm or hot environment from a cold one such as heated shops and offices during winter may trigger blushing and aggravate Rosecea. A flare-up can be caused by changes in the weather like strong or cold winds or a change in the humidity. There are also some foods and drinks that can trigger flushing, these include alcohol and spicy foods. Triggers that cause episodes of flushing and blushing play a part in the development of Rosacea.
Rosacea typically causes inflammation of the skin of the face, particularly the forehead, cheeks, nose and chin. Rosacea rarely reverses itself and when first develops usually progresses from reappearing redness to permanent enlarged blood vessels and small red solid bumps or pus-filled pimples.
The primary signs of Rosacea are: Flushing, Persistent facial redness, Bumps and pimples, & visible blood vessels Other symptoms are: eye irritation, burning or stinging, dry appearance, plaques.
People who suffer from Rosacea usually struggle to find suitable (not irritating) skin care products.
